The patented energy-saving technology is based on connecting a self-generated voltage source between the supply mains and lighting circuit.  The voltage across the lighting circuit is then lower than the supply mains voltage.  The self-generated voltage source does not process any active power, which makes the entire system have high energy conversion efficiency, being 97.5% at the rated power condition.

The lighting management system has a fail-safe mechanism.  If it is disengaged, a bypass switch will be energized.  The lighting circuit will be directly powered by the supply mains. Thus, no visual interruption will be made.
